These terms cover your use of the Pip's Big Future website, the free activities you download here, and our email list. By using the site you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Who this site is for
This website is written for grown-ups. Children are very welcome to watch and play alongside an adult, but the site is not designed for a child to use alone, and every form here belongs to a grown-up. Please do not use this site to submit any information about a child.
What Pip's Big Future is, and is not
Pip's Big Future is an early-learning brand. Our videos, activities and books introduce early ideas about how AI works, in language made for very young children, so that a child and a grown-up can talk about them together.
It is a framework for play and conversation. It is not a course, it carries no formal academic accreditation, and it is not educational, developmental, psychological or medical advice. Children develop at their own pace, and you know your child best. If you have concerns about your child's development, please speak to a professional who knows them.
Pip is a character. He is not a real person, he is not conscious, he does not know things the way a person does, and he is never a substitute for a parent, a teacher or a friend. We deliberately show Pip making mistakes, because that is part of what we want children to understand about AI.
Free activities
Our printable activities are free. You may download, print and copy them for your own family, classroom, library group or childcare setting. Please do not sell them, put them behind a paywall, change them and pass them off as your own, or republish them elsewhere as your own material.
An adult should always be present when a child is doing one of these activities. Please use your own judgement about scissors, crayons, small objects and anything else you bring to the table. We are not responsible for what happens during an activity.
Books
Hello, Pip! My First Book About AI is not yet for sale. Joining the waitlist tells us you would like to hear when it is available. It is not an order, it does not reserve a copy, it does not set a price, and it does not commit you to buying anything. Other titles shown on this site are in development; their titles, contents, artwork and timing may change, and some may not be published at all.
The email list
If a grown-up joins our list, we send new videos, activities and book news. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. Please only sign up with an address you control.
Our content
Pip, the Pip's Big Future name, and the artwork, videos, activities, characters and text on this site belong to us and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You are welcome to link to our pages and to share them, and to use the free activities as described above. Anything else, including using Pip's artwork, reproducing our text, or using our material commercially, needs our written permission first. Please ask.
Videos and social media
Our episodes are hosted on YouTube and we post on Instagram and TikTok. Those platforms have their own terms and their own privacy policies, and their rules apply once you are on them. We do not control comments or recommendations on those platforms. There are no comments on this website.
Other websites
This site links to other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their terms or their privacy practices.
No warranties
We offer this website and its free materials as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work hard to keep everything accurate and available, but we do not promise the site will always be online, error free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, Pip's Big Future is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or the free activities. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the site afterwards, the updated terms apply.
