Privacy Policy
Pip's Big Future ("we," "us," or "our") is an early-learning brand for very young children and the grown-ups who learn alongside them. This policy explains what this website collects, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It covers pipsbigfuture.com only, not our social media pages, which are governed by the policies of YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
The short version
- This website is written for parents, caregivers and educators, not for children.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. There are no child accounts, no child sign-ups, no comments, no chat and no uploads.
- Every form here belongs to a grown-up, and we ask only for a first name and an email address.
- We run no advertising and no analytics trackers, and we set no advertising cookies.
- We never sell or rent your information, and we never share it for someone else's marketing.
Children's privacy
Our videos, books and activities are made for children aged roughly 0 to 3 to enjoy with an adult. The website itself is directed to adults, and it is built so that a child cannot hand us information.
In keeping with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children under 13. We do not build profiles of children, we do not personalise content to a child, and we show no advertising anywhere on this site. There is no feature on this website that invites a child to type, speak, upload or register.
If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us at info@rpkreative.com and we will delete it.
What we collect
- What a grown-up gives us. If you join the email list or the book waitlist, we collect your first name and email address, plus a note of which form you used so we know whether you asked about the book. Nothing else. There is no phone number field on this site, and we do not send text messages.
- Standard server records. Like every website, our host records technical details of each request, such as an IP address, browser type, and which page was asked for. These keep the site working and secure.
- Fonts. Our page styling loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to fetch them, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We send Google nothing else and receive nothing back about you.
- Video. Our episodes are hosted on YouTube, but nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. The preview image you see before then is served from our own site. Once you press play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to what happens after that.
- Downloads. Our printable activity downloads directly from our site. You do not have to give us anything to get it.
What we use it for
- To send the emails a grown-up asked for: new videos, new activities and book news.
- To let you know when Hello, Pip! is available, if you joined the waitlist.
- To keep the website working, fast and secure.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent it.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make the website and the emails work:
- Our website host, which serves the pages and keeps the server records described above.
- An email platform, once we choose one, which will store the list and send the emails. Until then no list exists and the forms on this site are not collecting anything.
- Google Fonts, for typefaces, as described above.
- YouTube, but only after you press play.
Each of these may use your information only to provide that service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Cookies
We set no advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other
websites. Our hosting provider sets two strictly necessary cookies, __cf_bm and
_cfuvid, which exist to tell real visitors apart from bots and keep the site available.
They carry no advertising data and we never read them. If you press play on a video, YouTube may set
its own cookies at that point, which is why we hold the video back until you choose. You can block or
delete cookies in your browser at any time.
Your choices and your rights
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it.
- Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@rpkreative.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, including the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted or corrected, and not to be treated differently for asking. California residents have these rights under California privacy law. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. To make a request, email us; we may need to confirm your identity before we act on it.
Keeping information safe
We use reasonable measures to protect the little information we hold, and we keep it only as long as we need it, which for the email list means until you unsubscribe. No website or email system is ever completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information by email.
Where information is held
We operate from the United States, and our service providers store information in the United States. If you write to us from elsewhere, your information will be handled there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if we add analytics or change email platform. The current version is always on this page with its effective date, and a material change will be announced to our email list.
