Privacy Policy

The short version

• Most of this website is written for parents, caregivers and educators. Our Play & Wonder activity pages are made for a child and a grown-up to use together, and they collect nothing.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. There are no child accounts, no child sign-ups, no comments, no chat and no uploads.
• Every form here belongs to a grown-up. We ask only for a first name and an email address, and our Starter Pack form also asks you to tick a box confirming you are 18 or over and want our emails.
• We run no advertising and no analytics, and we set no advertising cookies.
• We never sell or rent your information, and we never share it for someone else's marketing.

1. Who we are

Pip's Big Future is a brand of RPKreative LLC.

We are the only business that collects information through this website for our own use. The companies in section 5 help us run it.

2. Children's privacy

Our videos, books and activities are made for young children to enjoy with a grown-up. Our newest activities are for ages 3 to 6, and our first books and printables were made for ages 0 to 3; each one shows its age range. Most of the website is written for adults. On the Play & Wonder activity pages a child and a grown-up tap choices together; those taps stay in the browser and are never stored or sent to us. The whole site is built so that a child cannot hand us information. No page on this website asks a child to type, speak, upload or register. Our home page, our Watch pages, our Activities page and every Play & Wonder activity page have no sign-up forms at all.

We follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect, use or share personal information from children under 13. We do not build profiles of children, we do not personalise anything to a child, and we show no advertising anywhere on this site.

What every visitor's device sends, and why. When anyone visits a website, their device sends some technical information to it. That includes children watching with a grown-up. On this site that information is:

• the device's IP address and basic browser details, which our website host and its delivery networks need to send the page;
• one short-lived security cookie, _cfuvid, which helps our host stop floods of automated traffic;
• on the pages with a sign-up form (Books, For Grown-Ups and Starter Pack), a background check by Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at the IP address and browser details to tell people apart from spam bots;
• if someone presses play on a video, the information YouTube needs to play it (see section 6).

We use this information only to deliver the website, keep it secure and working, and block spam. Those are the "internal operations" COPPA allows. How we make sure of that: we have no analytics or advertising tools on the site. We do not combine this information with anything else. We do not use it to contact anyone or to build a profile of anyone. Our providers handle it to run their services for us, and under their own terms they also use it to keep those services secure and working; Cloudflare, for example, uses Turnstile signals to improve its bot detection. Our videos are marked "made for kids" on YouTube. For those videos, YouTube says it limits data collection to what it needs to run its service and does not show personalised ads.

If a child's information reaches us anyway, for example because a child typed into a form, we delete it as soon as we notice and within 30 days. A parent or guardian can ask us at any time what we hold, ask us to delete it, and tell us to stop collecting it. Email info@rpkreative.com. We will ask a few questions to make sure we are talking to the child's parent or guardian.

3. What we collect

What a grown-up gives us. If you join the email list or the book waitlist, we collect your first name (optional) and email address, plus a note of which form you used, so we know whether you asked about the book or the starter pack. On the Starter Pack form we also record that you ticked the box confirming you are 18 or over and want our emails. Nothing else. There is no phone number field on this site, and we do not send text messages.

Technical information. Like every website, ours receives technical details with each visit: an IP address, browser type, and which page was asked for. Our host keeps these records to keep the site working and secure.

Spam protection. On the pages with a sign-up form (Books, For Grown-Ups and Starter Pack), Cloudflare Turnstile runs a quick background check as soon as the form comes into view. It reads your IP address and browser details to tell people from bots. You do not have to click anything.

Fonts, pictures and downloads. Our typefaces, pictures, video previews and printable PDFs come from our website host, Webflow, through its delivery networks. Loading a page does not contact Google Fonts or any other font service.

Video. Our episodes are hosted on YouTube, but nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. See section 6.

Downloads. Our printable activities are free. You do not have to give us anything to get them.

4. What we use it for

• To send the emails a grown-up asked for: new videos, new activities and book news.
• To let you know when Hello, Pip! is available, if you joined the waitlist.
• To keep the website working, fast and secure, and to block spam.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent it.

5. Who else sees it

Only the services that make the website and the emails work:

• Webflow, our website host. It serves the pages and keeps the technical records described above. It also receives what you type into our sign-up forms. Webflow keeps a copy of each sign-up (see section 10).
• Webflow delivers files through content delivery networks, including Cloudflare, Fastly and Amazon CloudFront.
• Cloudflare, which protects the site and runs the Turnstile spam check on our forms. Cloudflare explains what Turnstile collects at cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy.
• MailerLite, our email platform. We use MailerLite to store the parent and caregiver email list and to send our emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email we send.
• YouTube (Google), but only after you press play on a video.

Each of these handles your information to provide its service to us, and also for the limited security and service-improvement purposes set out in its own terms and privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

6. Cookies, browser storage and video

We set no advertising or analytics cookies. Here is everything our site stores on your device:

• _cfuvid. Set by: our host's security service (Cloudflare). What it does: tells apart different visitors who share one internet connection, so traffic limits are fair. How long: until you close your browser.
• __cf_bm. Set by: our host's security service (Cloudflare). What it does: only set if Cloudflare's bot protection switches on; helps tell people from bots. How long: 30 minutes.
• pip.waitlist (browser storage, not a cookie). Set by: this website. What it does: remembers that you closed our sign-up pop-up, or that you joined, so we don't ask again. How long: 30 days after closing; stays until you clear it if you joined. It never leaves your device.

Video. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. Before then, the preview picture comes from our own host. When you press play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced player. From that moment, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address, device and browser details, and information about how the video plays, including which page it was played on. It may store information on your device, such as local storage or cookies. YouTube's privacy policy applies to that. Our episodes are marked "made for kids", and YouTube says it limits data collection on those videos and shows no personalised ads on them.

You can block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not track visitors across other websites, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. The site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal, because there is no tracking for those signals to switch off.

No other company collects information about your activity over time and across different websites through our site, with one exception. If you press play on a video, YouTube (Google) receives the information described in section 6 and handles it under its own policies.

8. Emails and unsubscribing

We send only what you signed up for: new videos, new activities and book news. You can leave at any time:

• email info@rpkreative.com with "unsubscribe", or
• use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.

We remove you within 10 business days, and usually the same day. We keep your address on a do-not-email list only so we never write to you again by mistake.

9. Your choices and your rights

• Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@rpkreative.com.
• Depending on where you live, you may have more rights over your personal information. These include the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted or corrected, and not to be treated differently for asking. We honour these requests for everyone, wherever they live. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.

10. How long we keep things

• The email list and waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you.
• We keep a backup copy of each sign-up in Webflow. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you, we remove you from both places.
• Do-not-email list: as long as we send email, so we never write to you again.
• Messages you send us: up to 12 months after your question is answered, unless the law requires longer.
• Technical records: kept by our host and its security service for the short periods their own policies set. We do not keep copies.
• Anything from a child: deleted as soon as we notice and within 30 days (section 2).

11. Keeping information safe

We use reasonable measures to protect the little information we hold. No website or email system is ever completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information by email.

12. Where information is held

We are based in the United States. Our website host stores information mainly in the United States. Our email platform, MailerLite, stores the email list on servers in the European Union. Our providers' networks may handle requests in other countries so that pages load quickly.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example if we add analytics or change email platform. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. We will announce a material change to our email list before it takes effect. If a change affects children's information, we will not apply it without any consent the law requires.
