Pack for a Space Adventure
Pip and Chip are planning a pretend trip to explore space rocks. Their little rover has room for two exploring tools. Which two would you bring?

Grown-up guide
Describe what each tool helps someone do. Invite two choices and one reason. Talk about what the pair makes possible and what is left behind. Do not declare a winning pair. Accept practical observations such as "I can look with my eyes" or "I could draw it instead of taking a photo."
Simpler invitation
Offer two tools at a time and ask which one your child would like to use. Then help choose a second. A point is a complete response.
More to explore
Change the mission: "What if we wanted pictures of tiny marks?" or "What if we wanted to bring a sample back?" Ask whether the same pair still fits that plan.
Optional play
Draw an imaginary discovery and show the tools you chose. This is pretend play; no real equipment is needed.
A grown-up stays close. Use only toys and objects that suit your child's age.
